Foundation to drive digitalisation

Dachser, DB Schenker, duisport, and Rhenus are planning the next big step in digitalisation and have set up the open logistics foundation for this purpose. The aim is to build a European open source community to promote digitisation and supply chain management on an open-source basis and to standardise logistics processes through de facto standards.

The foundation's tasks also include the selection of collaborative projects, quality assurance of open source software and training.

With their initiative, the founders of the foundation are taking on a pioneering role for open source in logistics. Several companies have already announced their cooperation. (ben)
