From Sacramento airport to the Port of Seattle
The Port of Seattle has named Christopher Wimsatt as its new chief financial officer. He joins from the Sacramento County Airport System, where he was assistant director of airports, and will now oversee the port’s financial reporting, annual operating budget, and five-year capital plan.
Executive director Steve Metruck said Wimsatt’s broad experience in aviation, public administration, and the private sector will help manage the complexity of the port’s industries. Wimsatt, who previously held CFO posts in Sacramento and Dayton, Ohio, said he looks forward to supporting the port’s long-term financial success.
He has been recognised with several industry awards, including Airport Finance Professional of the Year in 2024 and the Public Finance Rising Star Award in 2023. (ah)
