Geneva Airport names new CEO
Geneva Airport’s board has appointed Jean-François de Saussure as its next chief executive officer, effective 1 November 2025. A seasoned leader with a background at SGS, SICPA and Caran d’Ache, where he served as CEO from 2012 to 2021, de Saussure combines extensive management and commercial expertise with strong ties to Geneva’s economic and institutional landscape. He succeeds Gilles Rufenacht, who will step down at the end of October.
The board highlighted his strategic vision to guide Geneva Airport’s development into a modern multimodal mobility hub, addressing investment and transformation challenges. De Saussure said he looked forward to shaping the airport’s future alongside its teams, with a focus on customer experience, sustainable growth and close engagement with local communities. (ah)
