German/US airport cooperation
Germany’s Leipzig/Halle airport (2012 cargo handling volume: 863,665 t) and the USA’s Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky international airport (543,784 t), where two of the three largest DHL Express hubs are based, have signed a cooperation arrangement to work more closely in the international air freight market.
The cooperation deal aims to further expand international airfreight activities and reinforce the position of both airports within the global air cargo industry. One of the central points in the future cooperation arrangement involves continually exchanging experiences and expertise and practically introducing the insights that are gained. The pact also envisages an initiative for joint marketing operations.
