GW with new LCL route from Singapore to Tbilisi
The Austrian transport and logistics company Gebrüder Weiss (GW) is expanding its service portfolio in the air and sea sector by offering a weekly groupage freight transport container service (LCL) from Singapore to Tbilisi (Georgia). With the new LCL route, GW is connecting the Southeast and East Asian markets even more closely with the Middle East and Central Asia. Thanks to the direct connection to one of Asia’s most important container ports, the site that opened in Tbilisi last year is becoming a central hub in the Caucasus region.
For GW Georgia, the Singapore-Tbilisi LCL service represents the consolidation of another important strategic step – integration into "GWconsolution", GW's global seafreight groupage transport network. This groupage seafreight product includes the organisation and implementation of LCL loads via dedicated LCL gateways in accordance with globally uniform service criteria.
Gebrüder Weiss currently offers the new groupage freight product on more than 90 routes. Another LCL route, from the USA to Georgia, is about to be launched.
