How Gefco takes the digital path

Gefco is planning to digitally transform its supply chain. To this end, the company that specialises in integrated land automotive logistics has selected Blue Yonder's cloud-based Transport Management System (TMS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS) to adapt its customer service.

With 11,500 employees in 47 countries and partners in 79 countries around the world, Gefco sought to replace its legacy systems with SaaS solutions for the supply chain.

"To accompany our digital transformation, we needed transportation and warehouse management solutions that could help us meet the needs of our customers, who face complex and global logistics challenges, "said Sophie Baudoux, executive vice president of information systems at Gefco.

The logistics provider will be able to make inbound and outbound transportation operations visible through collaboration tools shared with suppliers and carriers and increase flexibility, real-time responsiveness, on-time performance and the ability to manage complex warehouse operations. (sh)
