IAPH presents cyber resilience guidelines

At TOC Europe this week in Rotterdam, the IAPH data collaboration committee presented new cyber resilience guidelines for emerging technologies in the maritime supply chain.

The guidelines were launched at a panel session featuring Victor Shieh (IAPH), Javier Garrido (port of Barcelona), Pascal Ollivier (Maritime Street) and Chloe Rowland (IAPH). The publication was developed by a dedicated working group under the IAPH data collaboration committee, with input from 28 experts from member ports, the World Bank and the World Economic Forum.

Technologies covered include AI, IoT, automation, drones, green energy and quantum computing. Key aspects include risk mitigation, awareness, training and regulatory preparedness.

Lead author Gadi Benmoshe explained that the initiative follows on from previous IAPH guidelines adopted by the IMO. A Spanish version is also available. A follow-up webinar will take place on 25 June. (ah)
