Interferry names new board members

Interferry announces that it has strengthened its worldwide representation with the appointment of six new board directors and a new chairman. At its AGM in Sorrento on 6 October, the global ferry association named FRS CEO Götz Becker as chairman and welcomed six new directors from Nigeria, Italy, the US, the Philippines, the UK and Canada. The new members bring a wealth of operational and regional experience to the board, underlining the growing diversity of the ferry industry.

Supapan Pichaironarongsongkram of Chao Phraya Express Boat becomes Interferry’s new president for 2025–26, succeeding Guido Grimaldi. CEO Mike Corrigan said the appointments mark "a tremendous asset in geographical and professional diversity" as the organisation prepares for its 50th anniversary conference in Bangkok next year.
