Jumbo and BBC Chartering form ‘Global Project Alliance’
Two heavylift shipping and transport service providers, Jumbo and BBC Chartering, have agreed on a strategic cooperation deal and formed the ‘Global Project Alliance’ to this effect. "To start off with", the companies said, they will focus on offering their combined solutions by jointly bidding for specific projects and providing customers with the required fleet and services. The new partners underlined that both sides will continue to operate as separate entities for their existing clients.
"We’re looking forward to forging this alliance and intensifying our collaboration at the commercial, operational and strategic levels," said Svend Andersen, CEO of BBC Chartering. "As alliance partners we’ll seek to fully utilise our potential arising from BBC Chartering’s market position as leader in the volume market for projects, and from Jumbo’s market position as leader in super heavylift projects," added Jumbo CCO Twan Voogt. The objective is to improve the worldwide service offered by both brands, while leveraging their respective complementary strengths and assets. (cd)
