LCL-hub connected to Ethiopian Djibouti Railway

In Ethiopia, Ceva Logistics and its JV partner MACCFA Freight Logistics have opened a new less-than-container load (LCL) facility and container freight station within the Modjo Dry Port, 70 km from the county's capital Addis Ababa. The 1,000 sqm facility has three loading docks and will deliver new logistics services to Ethiopian and surrounding markets.

The Modjo Dry Port, which currently handles nearly 80% of Ethiopia’s imports, is an essential junction between trucking roadways and the Ethiopian Djibouti Railway (EDR).

By using EDR block train services, clients have easy access to the Port of Djibouti, despite the 750 km distance, Ceva and MACCFA said. (ben).
