Leadership transition in Prince Rupert Port

The Prince Rupert Port Authority (PRPA) has appointed Katherine Bamford as its vice-president of business development, effective 16 June.

Bamford brings over 25 years of experience in trade development, stakeholder relations and international market expansion with her, including a 13-year tenure as the director for trade development at the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.

At PRPA she'll lead efforts to boost cargo volumes, attract investment and expand terminal capacity.

President and CEO Shaun Stevenson welcomed her "valued expertise in global supply chains and strong ties with our partners." Bamford holds an executive MBA from Simon Fraser University and is a graduate of the Cambridge Academy of Transport’s shipping programme. (ah)
