Lebrun is Long Beach's new chief harbor engineer
The Port of Long Beach has appointed Monique Lebrun as Senior Director of the Engineering Services Bureau and Chief Harbor Engineer. She will oversee the port’s USD3.2 billion, 10-year capital improvement programme, including the USD1.8 billion Pier B On-Dock Rail Support Facility, designed to make cargo flows cleaner and more efficient by shifting more containers directly from ships to trains.
Lebrun, who joined the port in 2008, has led major projects including the Middle Harbor Container Terminal. She now heads a bureau of 300 staff across six divisions responsible for construction, design, maintenance and programme delivery. A licensed civil engineer and board-certified port engineer, she also holds the Envision Sustainability Professional credential, underlining her focus on resilient and sustainable infrastructure. (ah)
