Linking Casablanca and Istanbul

Sabiha Gökçen (SAW), the smaller international airport in the Asian part of Istanbul, which, after the inauguration of the new Istanbul International Airport this spring, is promoting itself as the “city airport” of the Turkish metropolis, has added two new links to Casablanca, Morocco’s economic and financial powerhouse.

As from today, 24 June 2019, Royal Air Maroc will operate daily flights on this route with a B737-800. The Turkish low cost carrier Pegasus will follow the Moroccan flag airline’s example. It plans to introduce a four-weekly service on this route from 8 July 2019, using a mix of B737-800 and A320 aircraft. (ah)
