Maiden call in Emden


After loading a portion of project and break bulk cargo, amongst those a gas turbine of 330 t unit weight, in Hamburg (Germany), the M/V “Paderewski” proceeded along the coast to Emden (Lower Saxony) for its maiden call. The plan was make a quick stop to load 38 pcs / 538 t / roughly 3.400 frt of wind power equipment supplied from a local producer destined for Masan in South Korea. Maximum parameters of this cargo were 22 t unit weight and 40.60 m length.

 

This project was monitored by a Japanese logistics provider which is present during the entire duration of the loading operations. Under the experts' critical supervision, loading, tight stowing and lashing of cargo was arranged by busy stevedores within 36 hours.

 

The vessel departed to Suez for canal passage, and will call at Mumbai (India), Singapore, Kaohsiung and Shanghai in China, with Masan, Yantai and Dalian (China) to complete its journey. (cd)
