Mol establishes award
Mitsui Lines (Mol) and Mol Plus have introduced a new Mol award for the 2025 business plan contest at Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology (Tumsat), set for 20 December 2025. This initiative aims to encourage students to develop innovative business ideas within the marine sector, contributing to the growth of future marine entrepreneurs.
The Mol award, worth 1 m yen, will support the winning team in advancing their proposals. Funds can be allocated for demonstration tests and trials, further promoting entrepreneurship and practical applications in marine industries. In addition to financial support, winners will receive guidance throughout the verification and commercialisation stages. As a corporate venture capital arm, Mol Plus focuses on fostering new businesses through partnerships within the maritime sector, while also emphasising the importance of cultivating entrepreneurial talent in collaboration with educational institutions like Tumsat.
