Monroe unveils Magnum line
Monroe has introduced a new range of Magnum air springs for commercial vehicles, designed to improve safety, durability and productivity. The line features materials and engineering for trucks, buses and other models from manufacturers including Mercedes-Benz, Iveco, DAF, Renault Trucks, MAN and Volvo. Built to withstand demanding operating conditions, the air springs include bellows made from high-grade rubber compounds resistant to ozone and weathering, as well as bumpers tested to absorb forces up to 89 kN without tearing as the company reported.
Depending on application, the products feature ultra-strong steel pistons or lightweight plastic versions with corrosion protection. The new series also includes lift-axle, rollover and vibration-isolation variants. "Air springs for commercial vehicles operate under extreme conditions that require application-specific design improvements, high-quality materials and high manufacturing standards," said Sylvain Gary, senior product manager, EMEA, DRiV, the parent company of Monroe.
