Multimodal EAC deal signed
Carboninsets has partnered with Baxter Freight to provide Environmental attribute certificates (Eacs) across all major transport modes – rail, marine, road and air – for one of Baxter’s key cargo owner customers. This marks the first global multimodal Eac partnership according to Carboninsets. Traditionally, companies procure certificates from a single mode, but the agreement enables a holistic approach to decarbonising entire supply chains.
The cooperation supports Baxter Freight’s 'sustainable freight network', which offers education, reporting and decarbonisation solutions. Carboninsets supplies Eacs that cover biodiesel, HVO, SAF, bio-LNG, electrification, hydrogen and bio-methanol, all verified and registered on the 123Carbon platform. The partnership aims to provide Baxter Freight’s customers a process for reducing emissions while ensuring compliance with Book and Claim standards. "By making high-quality Eacs accessible across all key transport modes, we are helping companies turn climate commitments into concrete action," said Maria Lacalle (pictured), head of customer decarbonisation at Carboninsets.
