Munich airport's ground handler partnering Etihad and ABC
Munich (Germany) airport's ground handling subsidiary AeroGround has succeeded in securing a long-term contract for landside and airside passenger and aircraft handling services with Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways, which operates a double daily service from Munich to Abu Dhabi (UAE). A full handling agreement has also been signed with the Russian cargo airline AirBridge Cargo (ABC). This contract covers freight handling through Cargogate. ABC operates a weekly service from Moscow to Munich with a B747F freighter, providing a link to the Asian region for flows of goods from southern Germany.
In cooperation with its affiliated companies Aerogate and Cargogate, AeroGround is the only single-source provider in Munich offering the full range of airside and landside handling services for passengers, aircraft and cargo. A key element of this concept is the central sales function of AeroGround, which has handled all sales and marketing activities for the three ground handling companies AeroGround, Aerogate and Cargogate since 2013.
