New charter from Vienna to Chicago

Cargo-partner has added a Vienna-Chicago charter connection to its portfolio. With the tense market situation, many companies have turned to air freight, which in turn is experiencing capacity bottlenecks as freight is increasingly being reallocated from sea to air.

Demand for reliable air freight solutions is increasing particularly in the automotive, high-tech and retail industries. Already since the end of 2021, cargo-partner has been offering a weekly part-load charter programme from Vienna to Chicago O'Hare International Airport, which is a strategic starting point for distribution in the Midwest of the USA. Cargo-partner runs its own warehouses at both locations and can thus offer door-to-door solutions.

The company launched regular cargo charter flights from Asia to Europe in spring 2020 and will be expanding its programme in 2022 with three departures per week from Hong Kong to Budapest, as well as twice-weekly flights from Budapest to Zhengzhou and back. Weekly flights from Frankfurt to Zhengzhou and Zhengzhou to Cologne will be added to the timetable.

Cargo-partner has also introduced a new groupage service with weekly departures from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Munich, Frankfurt and Vienna. The company's team in Linz recently organised a time-critical transport from Hanoi to Linz with its colleagues in Vietnam, chartering an Antonov An-124 for this purpose. (sh)
