New converted combi model delivered to Air Inuit

The Canadian MRO company KF Aerospace has completed the first Boeing 737-800 combi conversion for Air Inuit, marking a key step in the airline’s fleet modernisation.

The project, carried out at KF’s Kelowna, BC, facility, demonstrates the company’s engineering expertise in complex aircraft modifications. The dual-role aircraft are designed to carry passengers and cargo on northern routes, increasing efficiency and flexibility for remote operations. The conversion included a new main deck cargo door, smoke barrier and suppression systems, alongside modern avionics and fuel-efficient upgrades.

"This delivery showcases our team’s ability to create tailored, high-quality solutions for regional carriers," said Gregg Evjen, President of KF Aerospace. Air Inuit CEO Christian Busch added that the partnership "modernises northern jet air services and better serves Nunavik’s people." (ah)
