New nonstop connections for Alaska
Alaska Air Cargo is increasing its year-round nonstop service to Anchorage (ANC) – adding routes to Chicago and Las Vegas, and expanding services to Phoenix and Maui from seasonal to year-round. Three new cities will also get summer-season nonstop routes: Denver, starting today, 17 June 2021, Minneapolis and San Francisco.
With eleven destinations, Alaska Air now offers more nonstop flights between ANC and cities in the USA than any other carrier. All flights will be on B737, which can carry about 2,270 kg of cargo apiece.
Shannon Stevens, sales manager for Alaska: "We’ll fill the bellies of those planes with seafood as our customers see they can send their fish straight to cities like Chicago." The new flights from San Francisco also will bring more fresh Californian produce to Alaskan customers. (ah)
