NexusOcean adds Starlink services
NexusOcean has reported it has expanded its service portfolio by adding Starlink’s high-speed maritime connectivity solutions, available since August through its partnership with MTN, an official Starlink reseller. The move aims to enhance NexusOcean’s global coverage for commercial shipping, offshore energy and yachting sectors. As a long-term European partner of MTN, the company has gained experience with Starlink since its market launch in 2023.
NexusOcean now integrates these services into its offerings, combining connectivity, cybersecurity and IT support among others. Acting as a virtual network operator, it has developed hybrid onboard systems able to switch automatically between networks depending on location and coverage. This aims to ensure reliable internet access, even in remote areas, while supporting safety, operational efficiency and crew welfare. (js)
