Pioneering drone-based express deliveries in the Nordics

Sweden's Jetpak Group and Spain's Grasshopper Air Mobility have signed an mou to explore the integration of heavy-payload drones into Jetpak’s express delivery network.

The collaboration marks the first time a European express parcel operator joins forces with a long-range e-VTOL drone developer. The partners aim to test autonomous deliveries in both urban and remote Nordic areas, reducing emissions and increasing speed.

Grasshopper’s solution combines 600 km range with autonomous ground mobility and up to 350 kg payload. Jetpak will contribute its multimodal know-how and same-day logistics expertise.

"We’re pushing the boundaries of express logistics and creating a new aerial layer for time-critical deliveries," said Jakob Saalfrank, CEO of Grasshopper. The partnership will define mission profiles, infrastructure and pilot projects, preparing the ground for next-generation logistics in the 2030s. (ah)
