Polmans joins Swissport cargo
Swissport has appointed Steven Polmans (pictured) as global senior vice president cargo, effective 15 November 2025. Polmans will lead the company’s worldwide air cargo operations, focusing on strategic growth, innovation and commercial performance. "His extensive experience in transforming cargo operations, building strategic industry partnerships, and driving innovation makes him the ideal leader to further enhance and grow our cargo services worldwide," said CEO Dirk Goovaerts.
Polmans added he looks forward to working with "dedicated team of passionate professionals." With over 20 years in aviation, he previously held senior roles at Abu Dhabi airports and Brussels airport, where he helped develop 'BRUcargo'. A former chairman of Tiaca and air cargo Belgium, Polmans brings a global network. (js)
