Quadient sets its sights on the German-speaking market

Quadient, formerly Neopost, now has a strong focus on markets in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The Dutch company from Drachten with a workforce of 5,800 employees worldwide is currently setting up a sales organisation and a network of technicians for these three countries.

The company's core product is CVP Impack, an automated packaging solution that has been on the market since 2014. The machine measures, folds, sticks together and labels shipping packages. Only two or three people have to work in the incoming area, all the remaining processes are run fully automatically.

"In Germany, logistics processes have a high degree of automation. We are confident that many companies will recognise the competitive advantages of fast and resource-saving packaging solutions in future. Moreover, demographic change is making it increasingly difficult to recruit suitable staff," says Richard Nijboer, director of sales & operations at Quadient. (mw)
