Road-rail concept recognised for sustainability
Camion Transport has received the Swiss 'Family Business Award 2025'.
The Swiss company from Wil SG was recognised for its dual transport model that combines road and rail, offering an efficient and resource-saving solution with relevance for sustainable mobility. The prize was presented at a ceremony in Bern before 250 guests, with the jury highlighting ecological focus, innovation and clear values.
Founded in 1925, Camion Transport employs more than 1,500 staff at 15 sites in Switzerland and operates a modern fleet. The award, endowed by the Amag Group since 2012, also honoured finalists Felco and Lantal Textiles for their commitment to sustainability. All three companies received a certificate and an Audi A6 Avant e-tron for one year; Camion Transport will keep the car in its fleet permanently. (ah)
