Sapore Fresco adds electric truck to fleet
The Swiss food distributor Sapore Fresco has added its first fully electric truck to its fleet, taking delivery of a Renault Trucks T6x2 E-Tech from Thomann Nutzfahrzeuge. The Näfels-based company, whose roots go back more than a century, operates a network serving gastronomy, retail, hospitals and industrial clients across Switzerland.
The 28-tonne truck, equipped with a Steinhauser-built refrigerated body and a 540 kWh battery, offers a range of over 300 km, including powered refrigeration. Transport manager Hansruedi Menzi said the Renault "proved itself in practical use and offered the best overall package."
Sapore Fresco runs 52 vehicles from four sites, supplying customers such as Denner up to six days a week. (ah)
