Sascha Schittenhelm appointed MD of Deisser Group
Effective 1 March 2026, Sascha Schittenhelm will take over as managing director of the Deisser Group, a leader in container transport in the Neckar region. Schittenhelm brings extensive logistical and technical expertise, particularly in modern trailers and fleet management, which enhances his understanding of the operational demands and needs of truck drivers in a tech-driven market. His background includes roles at Albert Huthmann, Veolia Umweltservice and MAN Truck & Bus.
He succeeds Eugen Deisser, who has led the company for over 25 years and will assist during the transition until the end of 2026. This change follows the acquisition of Deisser Group by Eurogate Intermodal, effective 1 January 2025. Despite the new ownership, Deisser will remain an independent company. Christopher Beplat of Eurogate expressed confidence in Schittenhelm's capabilities to enhance Deisser’s strengths, while Schittenhelm aims to maintain the group's strong customer relations and adaptability to new opportunities.
