Saudia Cargo upgrades Shanghai service
Saudi Airlines Cargo is upgrading its Shanghai service by switching to a B747-8 freighter with immediate effect. The airline will now operate three direct B747-8F flights per week from Shanghai to Europe and Saudi Arabia, thus enabling customers to connect to the entire Saudia Cargo Network. The move follows growing demand for greater capacity ex China and is expected to fulfil current market requirements.
"This is the beginning of our further expansion into the Greater Chinese market, where we already operate two weekly B747-400Fs in Guangzhou and eight weekly B747s (both 400s and 800s) in Hong Kong," said Peter Scholten, Saudia Cargo's vice-president commercial.
