Schwanewede project begins
Baytree Deutschland has broken ground on a around 30,000 sqm industrial and logistics property in Schwanewede. The speculative development is located at Betonstrasse 60 in the Brundorf industrial zone, close to northern Germany’s major ports, providing future tenants with strong connections for import and export flows as the company reported. Completion is scheduled for the third quarter of 2026.
The groundbreaking ceremony on 30 September was opened by Stefan Siegle (pictured right), head of Germany at Baytree, who highlighted the successful revitalisation of the brownfield site and the importance of creating a modern and sustainable property to support the regional economy. Siegle thanked the project partners and the municipality of Schwanewede for their cooperation in moving the development forward. (js)
