Successful South Korean bid for new Myanmar airport


The department of civil aviation of the Southeast Asian country Myanmar has announced that the consortium led by Incheon Airport (South Korea) has been chosen to build a new international airport in the Bago region, located about 80 km away from Yangon, the country's commercial centre. The Hanthawaddy airport is planned to be operational by 2018.
