Tailwind expands 'Tiger Express' in Malaysia, Vietnam
From today, 17 June 2025, Tailwind Shipping Lines will expand its Tiger Express (Tex) service to include one call in Vietnam and two in Malaysia.
The intra-Asia loop now connects Bangladesh, Malaysia, Vietnam and Sri Lanka, offering customers greater planning security and new options for raw materials and textile supply chains. The 1,900 teu 'ASL in Peony' and the 1,700 teu 'Nordtiger' will serve the route.
Port Kelang thus becomes central both to the Tex and Panda Express (Pax) services, replacing Colombo as the transhipment hub for Europe-bound cargo.
With calls at Qingdao, Ningbo, Dachan Bay, Port Kelang, Barcelona and Koper, Pax underlines Tailwind’s commitment to reliable Asia–Europe logistics. Vice-president Nico Peters emphasised the flexibility and resilience this expansion offers to shippers in any sector. (ah)
