Tiaca leaders announced at Abu Dhabi Air Cargo Forum
Tiaca has announced a leadership change at the Air Cargo Forum 2025 in Abu Dhabi, with Roos Bakker becoming the new chair, succeeding Steven Polmans. Bakker, an expert in aviation business development and operations, is committed to driving innovation, sustainability and global collaboration within the air cargo industry. She aims to strengthen Tiaca's role as a platform for industry progress.
The association also introduced two co-vice chairs: Emir Pineda, an experienced aviation executive overseeing Miami International Airport's strategic initiatives, and Tushar Jani, a pioneer in Indian logistics and air cargo, with over 40 years of industry influence. Outgoing chair Steven Polmans praised the new leadership team's vast international experience and shared dedication to advancing the industry. Glyn Hughes, Tiaca's director general, highlighted the team's collective strength and their focus on fostering innovation, collaboration and industry growth for a sustainable future.
