Trade Tech and TradeWaltz sign mou

Trade Tech and TradeWaltz have signed a memorandum of understanding to advance the 'Grace' project (global reliable authorised commerce express), which focuses on digitalising trade procedures for authorised economic operators (AEOs) between Japan and the USA.

The partnership will integrate the companies’ platforms and enable real-time sharing of trade documents between exporters and importers under an 'AEO Mutual Recognition Arrangement'.

By replacing paper-based processes with digital data flows, the collaboration aims to shorten customs processing times, cut logistics costs and reduce lead times. The system will allow pre-arrival clearance of cargo shipments, support cross-border trade and enhance supply chain resilience.

Bryn Heimbeck (pictured left), president of Trade Tech, said the project aligns compliance and logistics to reduce friction and improve efficiency. TradeWaltz CEO Takahiro Sato (pictured right) added that it will accelerate adoption of AEO systems and further optimise international logistics.
