Two military transport aircraft crash
The Aviation Safety Network reported that there were two accidents involving military transport aircrafts last weekend. On 20 September, an Antonov 32 transport plane operated by the Indian Air Force (photo) was damaged while landing at Chandigarh airport (India). According to media reports, a fire broke out, but it was quickly contained. A few people on board the aircraft suffered minor burns.
Six of the seven persons on board a Lockheed C-130 Hercules operated by the Egyptian Air Force were less fortunate as they were killed when the aircraft crashed during a training flight near Kawm Awshim, Fayoum (Egypt), on 21 September.
