Waberer’s chooses Robert Ziegler as new CEO

Waberer's has appointed Robert Ziegler as its new CEO. He will succeed Ferenc Lajkó, whose resignation took effect at the beginning of February, but who will continue to provide his expertise and advice during the next six months.

Ziegler joins from DHL Freight, where he served as COO from 2015. He later became CEO, responsible for UK and Benelux, where he successfully turned around the loss-making UK business unit. Prior to joining DHL Freight, Ziegler spent 17 years at AT Kearney as a management consultant.

Gerard van Kesteren, chairman of the board, commented, “After an in-depth review of the company’s performance and a thorough succession planning process, we have identified Ziegler as the clear choice to lead Waberer’s into the next phase of its development." (mw)
