WFS expands e-commerce services at CPH
Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), a SATS company, has launched a new specialised e-commerce and freight forwarder handling (EFFH) facility at Copenhagen airport (CPH), responding to sustained growth in cargo volumes. The new 4,800 sqm building increases WFS’ total handling footprint to over 21,500 sqm, including a dedicated pharma facility.
The EFFH service covers value-added activities such as labelling, repacking, crating, screening, deconsolidation, sorting, and customs-ready preparation. It also ensures transport to and from handling agents. WFS says its import process enables a one-day saving for international e-commerce shipments to Scandinavia. The new site supports both the airport’s expanding freight traffic and the local forwarding community. It complements WFS’ EFFH operations in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, and Sweden. (ah)
