Woodland delivers ESG progress


The Woodland Group has published its 2024 sustainability report, highlighting major advances in reducing environmental impact and strengthening supply chain transparency. According to its own information the company cut electricity-related CO₂ emissions by 42% since 2022 through solar power and site upgrades, and saved 1,300 tonnes of CO₂e via HVO fuel and electric HGV trials. Additionally carbon reporting is now standard for all clients.

 

The group has reported it also met its 2030 waste target five years early, with 90% of waste diverted from landfill. Recyclability has doubled since 2020, while pallet reuse led to a 28% drop in purchases. Woodland retained its EcoVadis Gold rating and ISO14001 certification, and completed a double materiality assessment with 500 stakeholders. (js)
