Volga-Dnepr transports 100 t of mining equipment to Magadan

In the middle of winter Russia’s Volga-Dnepr Airlines transported a 100 t shipment from Moscow to Magadan, a port city on the coast of the Sea of Okhotsk.

The load contained a self-propelled Bauer BG28 drill that is used for mining. The AN-124-100 freighter flight from Moscow to the Russian Federation’s Far East was operated on behalf of the firm Stroymechanoservice. The company, a specialist for the development of gold mines, has a proven track record of investment projects and experience in the construction of production facilities and processing plants in severe climates, remote areas and at self-contained construction sites.

Volga-Dnepr used the opportunity to load its Antonov freighter with auxiliary equipment in addition to the Bauer drill. The extra material will be used to support operations, maintain the drill and ensure uninterrupted performance at the production field. Congratulations from client
The technical experts and the flight crew of Volga-Dnepr Airlines were congratulated by Stroymechanoservice representatives for their flawless preparation of the heavylift transport, as well as for the flight planning and operational support.
