238 new freight wagons for intermodal transports
TX Logistik intends to increase its wagon fleet and has therefore ordered 238 modern double-pocket wagons T3000e. The first new wagons for intermodal traffic were delivered at the end of October and the remaining 187 are set to arrive in several batches by the end of July 2021.
The wagons are equipped with digital sensor modules developed by the Swiss technology expert Nexxiot. The modules will be tested in a pilot project in cooperation with other companies of the Mercitalia group.
With the T3000e supplied by the Slovak manufacturer Tatravagonka, TX Logistik can transport latest-generation mega semi trailers and standard trailers, containers and swapbodies on its intermodal trains across Europe at a maximum speed of 120 km per hour. (ben)
