50 "zero-emission" locomotives ordered
Paribus has concluded a framework purchase agreement for up to 50 newly developed zero-emission shunting and medium-haul locomotives, including a full-service maintenance contract, for its long-standing partner RIVE. The contractual partners are Vossloh Locomotives and its Chinese parent company, CRRC ZELC.
Northrail, which is part of Paribus, will be responsible for asset management and leasing of these innovative dual-mode battery electric locomotives. With a capacity of 350 kilowatt hours, the battery enables a 500 kW power output at the wheel. (ben)
