A brake on electricity costs for CT traffic
In Germany, the mega hub Hannover Lehrte and Mortara transport services are boosting transport volumes: Kombiverkehr shifted a total of 937,959 truck consignments or 1.88 million teu to rail in 2021, 9.3% above 2020 levels.
With this improvement, the company has achieved a turnaround in volume growth, Kombiverkehr says. The CT specialist saw significant increases in both national and international transports. The declared goal for this year is to ensure the quality of the CT services.
The company is also introducing a brake on electricity costs to cushion the increasing financial burden on intermodal users. Kombiverkehr generated EUR 421.9 million in turnover in 2021. (ben)
