A large cargo door for Canadian DHC8-300

Air Inuit, a regional airline that provides vital passenger, charter, cargo and emergency air transport services throughout northern Quebec and destinations across Canada and the USA, and Collins Aerospace have inducted a DHC8-300 aircraft for large cargo door conversion.

Upon completion, which is expected soon, the same kit will be available to other airlines all over the world. Through the modification, Air Inuit is achieving fleet commonality, lower operating costs, and more flights per day while adding the ability to easily transport large items and palletised shipments.

The plane will feature a large 108″ (274 cm) by 68″ (172 cm) cargo door on the aft, left side, allowing for easy loading clear of the wings. Once the kit is fully developed, it will be available in a range of customised options. (ah)
