A mixed bag for XPO Logistics
In Q3/2021, XPO Logistics achieved its best results in revenues in the company's history to date. Revenues increased to USD 3.27 billion, up 22% compared with USD 2.68 billion in Q3/2020. Operating income however was USD 112 million for Q3/2021, down 18.8% compared with USD 138.0 million in Q3/2020.
While the company’s truck brokerage flourished over the quarter, its less-than-truckload results were mixed. Looking ahead, the company updated its full year 2021 financial targets with an adjusted ebitda of USD 1.2 billion to USD 1.23 billion, including a Q4/2021 adjusted ebitda of USD 300 million to USD 305 million.
