A new Baltic-UK connection
Short sea operator Unifeeder has commenced a new weekly service from Klaipeda in Lithuania to the Port of Immingham in UK. Together with Associated British Ports (ABP), the DP World-owned affiliate will transport containerised cargo from the Baltic port. The maiden voyage saw the “Elbspring” arrive in the Humber on 15 September.
Simon Bird, regional director for the Humber ports: “We’re delighted Unifeeder has launched this new route.” The cooperation includes calls at the Immingham Container Terminal (ICT) on the Humber. (sh)
