A successful 2020 for Xpediator

UK-based Xpediator, founded in 1988, has issued a trading update for the current year ending 31 December 2020. Trading has been strong and the group expects to report adjusted profit before tax of at least GBP 6.0 million (EUR 6.66 million) for the year to 31 December 2020, an 18% uptick compared to last year (2019: GBP 5.15 million/EUR 5.71 million).

Revenues will amount to approx. GBP 170 million/EUR 188.7 million compared to 2019 (GBP 159.6 million/EUR 177.2 million). The group's transport solutions division, trading principally under the Affinity brand, provides fuel and toll cards to European hauliers.

The Covid-19 pandemic left its mark. Revenues for the year are expected to decline to approximately GBP 5.0 million/EUR 5.55 million (2019: GBP 6.2 million/EUR 6.88 million).

The group's third division, logistics and warehousing, owns and manages warehousing in the UK and Romania. The group expects revenues for the division to be flat year-on-year at approximately GBP 48 million (EUR 53.3 million). On 6 October 2020, the group acquired UK-based international groupage freight forwarder and operator Nidd Transport for GBP 4.6 million/EUR 5.1 million. (sh)
