Adding another ONE in Singapore
Ocean Network Express (ONE) has welcomed the 'ONE Singapore' into its fleet – a 13,900 teu containership designed to be methanol and ammonia ready.
Built by Imabari Shipbuilding, the newbuilding is the sixth in a series of 20 sustainable vessels and will serve on global trade lanes. Classed by Lloyd’s Register and flagged in Singapore, the 'ONE Singapore' reinforces the carrier’s commitment to fleet modernisation and maritime decarbonisation.
"This vessel, named after our global headquarters, reflects our strong ties with Singapore’s maritime system," said ONE CEO Jeremy Nixon. The carrier, headquartered in Singapore since 2017, now operates over 260 vessels and actively pursues alternative fuel solutions as part of its environmental strategy. (ah)
