AEI launches new B737-900ERSF conversion programme
Miami-headquartered Aeronautical Engineers Inc. (AEI) has unveiled its B737-900 Extended Range Special Freighter (B737-900ERSF) conversion, the largest and most capable narrowbody freighter in its range. The aircraft will offer up to 26.2 t payload, 207 m³ cargo volume and 12 pallet positions, with FAA certification targeted for 2029.
Designed for the fast-growing e-commerce and express markets, it features reinforced flooring, an "Ancra" cargo loading system, and retains auxiliary fuel tanks for extended range. "This is a strategic move to meet demand for higher-capacity narrowbody freighters," said Robert T. Convey, SVP Sales & Marketing. With more than 625 conversions delivered to date, AEI continues to set the standard for reliable P2F programmes. (ah)
