Agility: blue skies above Maputo

After opening warehouses in Ghana, Cote D’Ivoire and Nigeria, Agility has now launched its new African logistics park in Maputo. The 290,000 sqm park is located on the new Maputo ring road in the Marracuene-Chiongo district, providing road connections to the major highways leading to the markets in the north of Mozambique and to South Africa.

The 32,000 sqm of warehousing space constructed for the first phase of the project are now available for lease for both local companies and multinationals.

Agility said that its warehouse meets international environmental standards, using energy-efficient roof and side-insulated panels, LED, energy-saving bulbs and solar-powered streetlights, amongst others.

Geoffrey White, CEO Agility Africa, said: “We believe that the provision of international-standard warehouses in Africa for storage, distribution and light manufacturing is one of the fundamental building blocks necessary for economic growth." (sh)
