Agility stable with broadened portfolio


Agility, which is still receiving earnings from discontinued operations with the recently-sold GIL department, moved sidewards with its profits in Q1/2022.

 

While revenues grew by 22.3% to KD 132.1 million (USD 430.2 million) compared to the same period last year, whereas ebitda increased by 71.7% to KD 34 million (USD 110.7 million). Net profit was at KD 12.8 million (USD 41.7 million).

 

Agility continues to own and operate the businesses that have historically generated 80% of company profits; these businesses are “controlled” by Agility. Included in this segment are Agility Logistics Parks, Tristar, National Aviation Services, UPAC and Global Clearinghouse Systems. Agility also holds minority stakes in businesses such as DSV (8%) and others. (sh)
